The “Biogeochemistry” group of the METIS lab (University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris; head: Dr. Sylvie Derenne) has an opening for a post-doctoral fellow in organic geochemistry. The position will commence in mid-2015.
The fellow will be working on the characterization of core and intact polar lipids in cultures and soils by HPLC/MS. Funding will be for 1 year. The work will be performed under the direction of Dr. Arnaud Huguet and Dr. Sylvie Collin.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– PhD in environmental chemistry, organic geochemistry or related field.
– Demonstrated experience with organic compound analysis using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry.
– Basic knowledge and interest in molecular microbiology.
– Demonstrated record of presenting and publishing research results.
