Le MARUM (Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, University of Bremen) propose un poste de chercheur postdoctoral en géochimie organique et isotopique et paléoclimatologie :
In the joint German-South African interdisciplinary BMBF-funded project “Regional archives for Integrated Investigations (RAiN)” a 2-year position for a motivated postdoctoral researcher in the field of Organic Isotope Geochemistry and Paleo-Climatology is available. The successful candidate will reconstruct Holocene hydrological and vegetation changes in south-eastern Africa from marine and terrestrial archives using compound-specific isotope analyses. Linkages to oceanic circulation changes should be examined by reconstructing ocean temperatures. The postdoctoral researcher will strongly cooperate with national and international project partners working with dating techniques, inorganic geochemistry, and palynology and prepare manuscripts for scientific publications. Presentations at workshops and conferences and participation in field campaigns are expected.
Requirements:
·Ph.D. in Earth science, geosciences, geochemistry, or related fields
·Experience in organic geochemical laboratory methods and compound-specific isotopic analyses
